• Promotion of indigenous and improved seed varieties
• Farmer training in composting, biochar, agroforestry, soil restoration, and farmer-managed natural regeneration (FMNR)
• Emphasises the reuse of resources within the farming system (biomass, manure)
• Promotion of agroecological methods like integrated pest management (IPM), including natural processes like biological pest control (using natural predators)
• Advocacy for sustainable farming practices, including crop rotation and reduced mechanisation
• Promotion of Mulching – Conserves soil moisture, suppresses weeds, and improves soil organic matter.
• Promotion of Terracing and Contour Farming Green Livelihood Development
• Skills training in beekeeping, mushroom and snail farming, and soybean production
• Value chain development for eco-friendly Agri-enterprises
