As part of its working vist to Ghana, the Vibrant Village Foundation (VVF) paid a courtesy call to several of its grantee partners in the Northern Region, including URBANET.

To showcase the impact of VVF’s support over the years, URBANET organised a field visit to selected communities within the Savelugu and Nanton districts, where transformative projects have been implemented over the years. The visit offered VVF a firsthand look at how its funding has helped improve livelihoods, strengthen food security, and foster resilience.

In the Tarkpaa community, under the Savelugu district, beneficiaries warmly welcomed the delegation with a dramatic performance that creatively narrated their journey with URBANET, from initial challenges to newfound opportunities. The group also toured vibrant home gardens cultivated through URBANET’s support, now serving as vital sources of nutrition and income for local families.

Reflecting on the visit, the West African Coordinator of VVF remarked that the impressive turnout of the community members was a clear testament to the trust and strong relationship URBANET has built over the years. A board member of VVF, present, also expressed his admiration for the progress made.

This visit reaffirmed the power of collaboration between funders, partners, implementers, and communities. Together, they continue to build pathways towards inclusive growth and lasting change in Northern Ghana. And for URBANET, this is our mandate and priority.
