URBANET advances agriculture and food security through approaches grounded in agroecological principles that promote environmentally sustainable, socially inclusive, and economically viable farming systems. The organization works with smallholder farmers, particularly women and youth, to strengthen their capacity to produce food using practices that enhance soil fertility, conserve biodiversity, improve water management, and reduce dependence on costly external inputs. By integrating indigenous knowledge with scientifically proven agroecological innovations, URBANET enables farming communities to increase productivity while protecting the natural resource base on which their livelihoods depend.
